A feast of choice at NIDA Open in the Easter holidays

March 11, 2019 Events / Whats On No Comments Email Email

With the cooler weather finally kicking in, the Easter school holidays are the perfect time to break away from routines and experience the creative side of life at NIDA Open.

Children’s autumn classes at NIDA Open include including acting, writing, musical theatre, filmmaking, stand-up comedy and more – giving children from pre-school to high school a chance to unlock their creative potential and build their confidence.

For adults, it’s a time to tick the bucket list, try something new or build on skills in short courses. The courses range from acting, design, directing, musical theatre, stage management, TV presenting and writing.

Head of NIDA Open, Tricia Ryan, encourages everyone, whatever their age or experience, to develop their imagination through a short course.

‘Creative play and drama activities develop children and young people’s skills in communication, collaboration and problem solving. We draw on inspiration from childrens’ lives, including popular films, musical theatre, computer games, children’s books and comedy.’

NIDA Open’s courses offer world-renowned training methods with tutors with extensive backgrounds in theatre, TV and film.

This autumn, classes will be held at Queensland Academies Creative Industries (QACI), Kelvin Grove.
