Whilst most Australians can’t currently travel to Memphis, other Australian residents are making their presence in the city known.

It’s been 27 years since Memphis Zoo housed any kangaroos, but the new KangaZoo Outback Experience exhibit offers visitors the opportunity to see 17 adults and four juvenile kangaroos free ranging in the space.
The 20 red kangaroos have temporarily made the city of soul their new home, in an open style enclosure that gives locals the opportunity to see kangaroos up close, and possibly even interact with one, doing as they would day to day.
An exhibit guide greets visitors as they enter the kangaroo enclosure, and provides tips on how to best interact with the animals.
A seasonal exhibit, the kangaroos will be roaming around their new home at the zoo until 31st October, and will also be part of the zoo’s twilight tours.
Full details can be found at the Memphis Zoo website: https://www.memphiszoo.org/kangazoo and a picture from the exhibit is attached (image credit in file name).
