The newly renovated Daydream Island Resort is ready to welcome back guests when it reopens on July 1, with a special winter escape offer for Queenslanders.

The only ECO certified resort in the Whitsundays, Daydream Island offers 280 newly refurbished rooms and suites that features the only Living Reef in Australia where children will be entranced by the Reef Ranger program and be able to snorkel with our friendly stingrays.

Evoking a sense of paradise, the island resort spans 1km long with coral and sand beaches lined by palm trees, a tropical rainforest and its own 200m Living Reef bursting with marine life.

A strong advocate of conservation and education, the Living Reef, holds over 100 unique species of marine fish and 80 species of coral as well as nine new shovel nose rays and 10 new epaulette shark babies that guests will be able to enjoy.

As a further commitment to the health an sustainability of the Reef and the region, Daydream Island has made significant investment in a coral gardening edu-tourism project in partnership with the Queensland Government aimed at restoring and propagating vast species, as well as teaching tourists about coral recovery.

Lover’s Cove has 500 new coral colonies due to the resort’s re-propagation program and will offer a new eco tour with the island’s marine biologists.
