The heritage resort Al Bait Sharjah, inaugurated on December 13, 2018 by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, has received two prestigious awards since its grand opening.
Part of the Heart of Sharjah, the country’s most ambitious restoration project, Al Bait Sharjah prides itself in promoting the heritage and traditions of the UAE. The heritage resort is marked with a distinct yester-era theme, its Emirati hospitality and aesthetics highlighted with a shadow of modern luxury to cater to the needs of today’s travelers.
On April 24, Al Bait Sharjah was awarded “Commercial Property Project of the Year” at the 2019 MEED Projects Awards. MEED Projects Awards have become the leading stamp of quality and achievement for anyone operating in the GCC project sector. The Awards recognize the value and quality of a project throughout its entire life cycle, from design concept through engineering and construction, as well as the project’s wider contribution to society and the environment.
On April 25 the luxury heritage resort was awarded another esteemed laurel at the 2019 World Travel Awards. Celebrating their 26th annual event at Warner Bros. Abu Dhabi, World Travel Awards recognized Al Bait Sharjah as “Sharjah’s Leading Hotel 2019.” The World Travel Awards acknowledge and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries, and are considered the ultimate hallmark of industry excellence. With several noteworthy hotels and resorts shortlisted for the same category, Al Bait Sharjah took home the prestigious award.
