Adventure Canada is honoured to be recognized as the winner of the World Nomads Solo Travelers Choice Award.

The Solo Travel Awards are presented to travel providers that go above and beyond to provide solo travellers with options such as no single supplements and platforms for solo travellers to connect with others. Since 2015, Adventure Canada has provided a no single supplement option on nearly every one of their expedition cruises, along with multiple platforms to engage and welcome the solo traveller community.

The company recognizes the significant value and rising power of solo travellers. In 2018, solo travellers made up 28.5% of all Adventure Canada’s clients, and this number is increasing every year.

“We are overjoyed to be recognized by the solo travellers themselves for this award!” says Cedar Swan, Adventure Canada CEO. “Ensuring solo travellers have abundant options and feel welcomed aboard has long been a priority of ours.”

Adventure Canada is a family-run travel company with 30 years’ experience specializing in small-ship expedition cruises to the world’s more remote coastlines. The company engages, educates, and entertains by connecting people to each other and the land through travel; travelling to the best places, with the best people, in the best way.

Adventure Canada’s pioneering approach to expedition cruises and small-group experiences emphasizes wildlife, culture, learning, and fun. Solo travellers can choose from a range of destinations: from circumnavigating Newfoundland to spotting polar bears and narwhals in the Arctic; from sailing the storied Northwest Passage to following in the footsteps of the Vikings in Iceland — all with the comfort of travelling independently, but as part of a group of like-minded individuals.

The Solo Travel Awards are run by Solo Traveler, an online platform for solo travellers to gain information, deals and advice specific to solo travel.
