Following closely behind Australia’s Aeronology invitation to IATA’s Accelerator program, Singapore’s highly regarded and world-renowned accelerator program, run by Singapore Tourism Board and Found8, has selected Aeronology to be one of a selected few to provide its technology to the Singapore and South East Asia market.http://www.tourismlegal.com.au/

Aeronology, based in Melbourne and headed by Russell Carstensen, the ex-Air Tickets and QBT head, has been selected to provide Singapore Tourism and Singapore a technology advantage.

The Singapore Tourism Accelerator (STA) is a highly selective, equity-free 6-month program for the world’s most promising technology start-ups or pre-scaleups that can power the travel and tourism industry. The STA is organised by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and its appointed corporate innovation partner, Found8.

The 10 selected companies will gain unparalleled access to work with some of Asia’s, and the world’s, most important industry players. They will undergo a two-month intensive accelerator program, identifying a potential pilot project and scope, followed by 4 months of pilot implementation with selected industry partners for the top 10 companies. The accelerator entails an intensive program to learn critical market entry skills, pilot design and implementation skills, building a company and culture that scales as well as fundraising strategies via workshops, 1:1 mentoring, peer learning, expert feedback, intimate lunches with founders and investors, and industry events. The 6 months will end with a Demo Day with industry partners and investors.

“APAC is a key market for our business – Singapore is the key gateway for the region. All the key travel industry players are based there. The regional head offices of Sabre, Travelport, Amadeus, IATA and many more are based in Singapore, it’s an amazing connection city.

Aeronology will have a bridge to Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, India and the Philippines, all countries recognised by IATA as the biggest growth markets in the world over the next 20 years.

The development team at Aeronology are finalising our development program for our new customers in Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan as the next step involves these markets,” Carstensen stated.

“The business doesn’t stop, our development only increases, and when the going gets tough, the tough keep developing.”

“Aeronology is in one of the best positions as we are cashed up, with our team doing what needs to be done. Our customers are well regarded, they are getting ahead of the curve and they will prosper and survive, and they will also be applauded for doing so.”
