Spread the love

With the holiday season just a few days away, all Air France staff are looking forward to welcoming the airline’s customers and accompanying them throughout their trip.

“Air France Protect”: extension of fully flexible commercial measures until 30 September 2021

Air France is committed to guaranteeing its customers the best possible health and safety conditions by implementing exceptional measures at the airport and on board. These health measures are supplemented by fully flexible commercial measures enabling customers to plan their trip with complete peace of mind. In view of the current health situation, Air France has decided to extend these measures until 30 September 2021. Each ticket is fully changeable or refundable, free of charge* and without proof, up to the day of departure, for trips up to 30 September 2021. Finally, Air France offers its customers the option of taking out Covid-19 insurance to cover additional costs in the event of quarantine.

Air France reminds its customers that, with the introduction of a curfew in mainland France, their air ticket and exemption certificate are valid as a waiver for travelling to and from the airport, regardless of their flight departure time.  Prior to any trip, customers are invited to consult airfrance.traveldoc.aero for details on any travel restrictions and conditions imposed by the authorities at their destination. As a reminder, certain destinations such as Corsica and the French Overseas Departments and Territories require a negative Covid-19 PCR or antigenic test result.

Health measures guaranteeing the highest level of safety

AirFrance Protect Our health commitment

The measures implemented by Air France are regularly adapted according to changes in the health situation.

Wearing a surgical mask is compulsory on arrival at the airport, where numerous measures guarantee optimal conditions of health & safety, such as physical distancing, counters equipped with Plexiglass, regular disinfection of self-service kiosks and the provision of hand sanitizer.

The Air France lounges are gradually reopening, where the same health & safety measures are applied. In terms of catering, cold and hot buffet dishes are now served by a waiter. The bar areas, treatment rooms and children’s areas remain closed for the moment.

Before each flight, Air France has stepped up the cleaning of its aircraft. Cabins and all surfaces in contact with customers are thoroughly disinfected, including armrests, tray tables and screens.

On board and throughout the trip, the wearing of a surgical mask remains compulsory from the age of 11 upwards. A disinfectant wipe is offered to customers at the door of the aircraft. From January 2021, a hygiene kit containing a surgical mask, a virucidal disinfectant wipe and hand sanitizer will be available for all passengers on long-haul flights.

During the flight, the air on board is completely renewed every 3 minutes. The air recirculation system on all Air France aircraft is equipped with HEPA – High Efficiency Particulate Air – filters, identical to those used in operating rooms. In addition, to limit interaction, the in-flight offer has been simplified. The catering service has been adapted and sales of duty-free products have been suspended for the time being. The press offer is now fully digital and can be downloaded on the Air France Play app.

On arrival, in-flight announcements made by the crew invite customers to disembark at set intervals, in order to respect the physical distancing rules. Hand sanitizer dispensers are available in the baggage arrival lounge, where there are also reminders of the physical distancing rules.

Finally, at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly, Paris Aéroport offers Air France customers Covid-19 test centres, in partnership with Cerballiance.

At the end of this unprecedented year, all Air France staff are mobilized to enable customers to travel in optimum conditions of comfort and safety.

Air France wishes you all a very happy holiday season.
