Workshop: External Stakeholder Review
Sustainable Airport Manual (SAM) 2019 Draft Updates
The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) invites all conference attendees to attend an External Stakeholder Review Workshop on Sunday, November 3, 2 – 4 p.m. The goal is to review and provide feedback on the draft Sustainable Airport Manual (SAM) updates in advance of public release, which is anticipated in December 2019.
The SAM is the CDA’s industry-leading sustainability guidance for all airport design and construction projects, as well as operations and maintenance activities, for CDA’s facilities and for CDA’s concessionaires and tenants.
The SAM is the first of its kind in the U.S. and was developed with input from over 200 stakeholders representing airports, airlines, government agencies, the sustainability industry, and community groups. The CDA is updating the SAM in 2019 to enhance the focus on sustainability strategies for terminal space.
Pre-registration is required. Visit www.airportsgoinggreen.org for more information.
