The American Queen Steamboat Company has released its new 2021 brochure, enabling travellers to cruise down America’s most famous rivers aboard majestic paddlewheelers. To mark the release of the brochure, Australian partner and small ship specialist, Cruise Traveller, is offering savings of up to US$1500 per couple for bookings made on a 2021 Pacific Northwest river cruise by June 30, 2020.

The new, contactless, digital brochure for 2021 features a record 173 cruises on five of America’s most iconic rivers – the Mississippi, Ohio River, Tennessee River, Snake River and Columbia River. The 2021 season will also feature the American Queen Steamboat Company’s (AQSC) new, 245-passenger paddlewheeler, the American Countess, which joins the American Queen, American Duchess and American Empress to give guests an authentic and elegant American river cruise experience.

Savings of up to US$1500 per couple are available on AQSC’s eight-night “Columbia and Snake River” cruise package beginning in Vancouver in the US State of Washington, on November 7, 2021 and finishing in Clarkston. Multiple departures are available between March & November 2021.

Guests will cruise onboard the 223-passenger American Empress, built in 2002, which is the largest, river cruise vessel west of the Mississippi, offering classic elegance alongside modern luxuries. Boasting exceptional service, fine dining, Broadway-calibre entertainment and an impressive collection of North American regional artefacts dating back to the Gold Rush, the American Empress allows guests a glimpse of days gone by as they journey down the scenic rivers.

The cruise will allow guests to follow in the footsteps of legendary explorers, Lewis and Clark, the first Americans to cross the western portion of the United States, from 1804 to 1806. The cruise also offers many complimentary shore excursions which allow guests to explore historic townships such as Astoria – the oldest American settlement west of the Rockies. The American Empress will also take guests through breathtaking scenery including the famous Columbia River Gorge, lined with hidden waterfalls, rocky cliffs, wildflowers and also vineyards.  The cruise will delve guest into the heart of Washington’s and Oregon’s wine country, with Oregon alone boasting 725 wineries.  Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, the highly acclaimed wineries of the Pacific Northwest and their fine vintages have made a strong mark with international wine connoisseurs.

Beginning in Vancouver, Washington, the eight-night package includes a night’s accommodation pre-cruise, a seven-night cruise, guided, hop-on-hop-off shore excursions, beer and wine with dinner and soft drinks, water and speciality coffees throughout the cruise. The packages start from US$2485 per person, twin share, in a category C Deluxe Veranda Stateroom – a saving of US$750 per person (offer ends June 30, 2020).

American Queen Steamboat Company is an award-winning, authentic, paddlewheeler river cruise line in North America, offering the most inclusive cruises with guided shore excursions, nightly Broadway-calibre entertainment and regionally inspired fine dining included in the fare.
