Great news for Fiji’s Ahura Resorts with Condé Nast Traveler announcing the results of its 33rd annual Readers’ Choice Awards and its stunning Likuliku Lagoon Resort winning the incredible accolade of 13th place in the Top 50 Best Resorts in the World, along with 2nd in the Top 20 Resorts in Australia & South Pacific and 1st  place in Fiji.

This was no straw poll, with more than 600,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers across the globe submitting responses rating their travel experiences to provide a full snapshot of where and how they travel today, with The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry and are commonly known as “the best of the best of travel.”

Tony Whitton, resort owner and Managing Director of Fijian family owned Ahura Resorts said, “In what has been and continues to be an extraordinarily challenging year for us and our entire industry, these accolades could not have come at a better time, adding that after being in these awards before, this is once again significant praise from Condé Nast readers and our loyal guests who have voted our luxury adults-only resort in the top 15 in the World – and consequently 2nd in Australia and South Pacific and number one in Fiji and it is also a wonderful statement for Fiji with 6 other leading Fiji resorts in the top 20 Best Resorts in Australia and South Pacific.

He added that it is generally much sought after to be included in these awards and we continue to be humbled and amazed to be recognised in this way, with it a wonderful achievement and a testament to the quality of the product offering we have and the consistent delivery of our promise to our guests.

He said that his heartfelt thanks went out to the incredible staff and management – specially to outgoing Group General Manager of over 16 years Steve Anstey, and of course, to all our valued guests for their continued support.

Tony Whitton added, “We look forward to the future with hope – when we can reopen our doors and welcome back guests from all over the world to share the Likuliku magic once again.”
