Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence welcomes new Hotel Manager Spyridon Georgakopoulos.

“Being a part of the international hospitality industry since 2005, I believe that we continue to develop ourselves and others around us day by day,” says Spyridon. Having lived in various countries, growing up and working among people of different cultures has helped shape the person he is today. “I always have something to learn especially from people of different traditions and customs; they always reveal a deeper understanding of life.”

Growing up in the coastal port city of Volos in Greece has taught Spyridon to appreciate Mother Nature. He grew up amid Volos’s sunny weather, the Aegean Sea and the beautiful landscape.

“Nurturing the environment is an important aspect to who I am, and I like to spread awareness on the matter wherever I work by always aiming to inspire others to use eco-friendly products. The world is quickly changing and we should adapt too,” says Spyridon.

His precise attention to details, positive attitude, passion for perfection and personality has earned him his role. “I believe in empowering those around us, creating balance and inclusion, as every team member has something unique to contribute to the overall vision.”

In his new role as Hotel Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence, Spyridon will use his leadership and experience to contribute to the rebirth and repositioning of this great Hotel, which celebrates twenty years since opening as the first Four Seasons in Egypt and the Middle East region, spearheading and redefining the luxury experience.

“Spyros’s high level of commitment, organisational skills and multicultural experiences led to his success in his prior appointments, and I am confident that he will undoubtedly continue to create excellence in his new role in Cairo,” says Mahmoud El Keiy, General Manager.

The Hotel has undergone major renovations and uplifts of its rooms and suites, including the launch of the Premium Suites. The soon-to-open new ballroom in late 2020 is set to be one of Cairo’s largest ballrooms. In addition, the Hotel recently opened the First Nile Boat by Four Seasons – the company’s first ever culinary and lifestyle boat including four dynamic restaurants, a lounge and scenic Nile view meetings rooms.

“It’s an exciting time for me to join and be a part of the Four Seasons family at The First Residence, especially with the many openings happening, it feels like we are re-writing history together. The Hotel is successfully repositioning itself in the dining scene and in the corporate and social events sector after twenty years and it’s an absolutely incredible achievement,” says Spyridon.

Spyridon has expressed his fondness and affection for being immersed in Cairo’s culture. “Egyptians are friendly, welcoming and family oriented, the culture here is very special to me as it reminds me of home.”
