Leading travel search engine KAYAK.com.au has revealed the top amenities and features Australian travellers seek when booking accommodation, and the results are surprising… or perhaps not! 
Results showed that more than half (64%) of travellers ranked free wifi as their top priority, confirming traveller’s love for staying connected and uploading the perfect Instagram snap, followed by a breakfast package (51%) and flexible check in/out (40%). These amenities surprisingly outstripped features such as a hotel swimming pool (39%) and a room with a view (34%).
The results also uncovered travellers prefer accommodation that provides a relaxing respite, with 45% opting for a quiet room over a cheap room (38%).
