ATEC welcomes the new advertising and awareness campaign aimed at our key Working Holiday Maker markets, launched today by Tourism Australia, as an inspiring and interesting way to position Australia to the youth market.“This initiative will target a market which, over decades, has been a great segment for Australian tourism,” ATEC Managing Director, Peter Shelley said today.

“WHM visitors are long stay, high yielding and contribute to our economy and the workforce, which is particularly beneficial to regional tourism businesses.

“The WHM visa offers a holistic experience, where young people can immerse themselves in an Australian lifestyle and go home equipped with new skills and life changing experiences.

“During a time when we have seen a softening in the UK visitor market, this campaign will act to reposition and reinvigorate youth travel to Australia.”
