Australian Venue Co Champion a New Ordering Experience Across Their Venue Portfolio

November 27, 2019 Dining No Comments Email Email

Australian Venue Co has partnered with Melbourne tech startup, Mr Yum to deliver web-based order at table experience across their portfolio.

This new ordering experience is now live in 33 venues* across NSW, VIC, QLD, WA and NT, with additional venues across all states set to be rolled out by Christmas.

The web ordering experience starts with beautiful visual menus, language translations and dietary filters that appear when diners scan the QR code at their table through their camera, no apps required. Customers can browse the menu, see photos of dishes and order seamlessly via Apple Pay, Google Pay or by card. Food and drinks are delivered to the table.

GM of Sales & Marketing, Kylie Moncur said ‘solving one of the key pain points for customers was the core objective. Nobody likes waiting in line at a busy bar to order food and drinks, taking away from whatever brought them to the venue in the first place; friends, colleagues or a date night. It was really important to us as a company to partner with the right team to deliver this as web-based technology, rather than a native app, to remove as much friction from the customer experience as possible’.

CEO, Paul Waterson said ‘customers are really engaging with the product and that shows in the data with positive movement in average basket size. We’re excited to watch this grow and have a significant impact on the hospitality customer experience.’
