Virtuoso Travel Week, the world’s leading annual luxury travel networking event, brings together more than 6,000 Virtuoso travel advisors and preferred partners from across the globe for more than 300,000 meetings held over the course of a week each August. The human connections and insider knowledge advisors acquire at the event, the largest of its kind, provides them with a competitive edge in the industry. An estimated US$420 million dollars in business is transacted as a result of Virtuoso Travel Week.

Asia-Pacific Managing Director Michael Londregan says Virtuoso is enjoying strong growth in the region with a forecasted 15 percent increase on revenues for 2019 and Virtuoso Travel Week will further galvanise this success.

“This event will further energise travel advisors looking to add to their clients’ experience through the personal relationships they foster, while our supply partners will have exclusive access to the luxury advisors who ensure they continue to drive market share gains,” Londregan says.

Main Beach Travel Principal Mike Dwyer says Virtuoso has contributed significantly to its business success, with the agency winning ‘Best Travel Agency Leisure (single location)’ in the recent NTIA awards.

“There’s no question our agency has become better at what we do as a result of our membership in Virtuoso,” Dwyer says.

“We’re constantly mingling with this elite group of advisors and partners at Virtuoso events, and subsequently, our behaviour reflects that environment. The passion, creativity and overall professionalism is infectious, and we wear our Virtuoso membership as a badge of honour.”

Roland Howlett and his team from Frontier Travel will also be heading to Las Vegas and says Virtuoso Travel Week is without comparison.

“There is nowhere else you can connect and build relationships with thousands of the world’s best travel suppliers and advisors – it really is a gathering of the best of the best.

The people you meet during appointments, and the connections you make at events and functions, are enormously beneficial relationships that our team can then draw on when designing our clients’ journeys to deliver those special moments that travel is all about.”

Sonia Jones from Savenio will be heading to Las Vegas for the fourth time in five years and agrees the calibre of Virtuoso peers is unrivalled.

“It’s honestly the most incredible opportunity. You meet like-minded advisors from all over the world, connect with suppliers who know their product inside out and are passionate about it, you discover new destinations or a new take on an old favourite, or you might uncover the next “it” thing that will keep you at the forefront of this highly competitive industry.”

The 2019 Virtuoso Travel Week will take place at Las Vegas’ Bellagio Resort & Casino, ARIA Resort & Casino and Vdara Hotel & Spa from 10-16 August.
