Avani Melbourne Central Residences ranked number 1 “Best Recommended Hotel” at 2019 Ctrip Global Summit

Avani Hotels & Resorts has announced that Avani Melbourne Central Residences has been ranked number 1 “Best Recommended Hotel” at 2019 Ctrip Global Summit, while Avani Metropolis Auckland Residences was ranked in the top 100. The awards took place in Xi-An, China on October 25, 2019.

Ctrip Global Summit honours the “Best Recommended Hotel” award to properties that exemplify the highest comprehensive score in a city, which is determined by an algorithm that combines hotel popularity based on online searches, user reviews, hotel service score and other indicators.

Ranked first out of the 100 hotels that were awarded “Best Recommended Hotel” across the region, Avani Melbourne Central Residences demonstrated high quality rooms and services, a warm and highly efficient on-site management team, as well as a competitive price strategy.

John Thompson, Head of Commercial at Minor Hotels Australasia attended the ceremony and said “We are honoured to be awarded these prestigious titles by Ctrip, which reinforces Avani’s dedication to growing the Chinese market in collaboration with the leading integrated travel services company.”

“Currently Ctrip contributes significantly to our business and is strategically slated to continue to grow in years to come” concluded Mr Thompson.

Headquartered in Shanghai, Ctrip currently boasted over 30,000 employees and branch offices in 95 mainland Chinese cities, as well as 22 overseas countries and regions.

Strategically located at the north end of Melbourne’s CBD, Avani Central Melbourne Residences, draw inspiration from the brands distinct, and contemporary design. The 55-story building houses 456 rooms and features an indoor swimming pool, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the city skyline and two outdoor spas, set adjacent to three outdoor entertaining areas with BBQs and in-built seating.

Housed in the city’s tallest residential building, Avani Metropolis Auckland Residences overlooks Albert Park and offers 30 guest rooms exuding an atmosphere of complete balance and serenity.

Avani currently operates 27 hotels and resorts in 19 countries. The brand recently opened another property in Melbourne, Avani Melbourne Box Hill Residences and debuted in Adelaide with Avani Adelaide Residences and Queensland with Avani Broadbeach Gold Coast Residences.

Avani has 15 new hotels in the pipeline, including upcoming properties in Malaysia, the UAE, and Myanmar.
