The airline was also recently rated 5th as the most punctual airline 2018 from the OAG Aviation Worldwide (the global aviation industry data analysis company). Bangkok Airways is the only Thai carrier that ranks in the top 20 airlines based on its On-Time Performance (OTP) of 87.16 percent in 2018. The Airline has been also ranked 2nd among Asia Pacific Airlines with 98.4 percent OTP score.
Bangkok Airways recently welcomed its brand-new ATR72-600 aircraft at Suvarnabhumi Airport. The 70 seats ATR model 72-600 is developed to have a modern flight control system that displays all digital systems. With a spacious, comfortable passenger seat and an overhead luggage compartment that is larger than ever.
This new ATR72-600 aircraft will be will be used to boost its Chiang Mai hub such as Chiang Mai–Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai–Yangon (Myanmar), Chiang Mai–Mandalay (Myanmar), Chiang Mai–Hanoi (Vietnam).
