The Dorchester (London) – Opening of “Wine Vault”

Led by Christopher Delalonde MS who is one of only 269 professionals in the world to have received the coveted title of Master Sommelier, the Wine Vault was launched as a modern and intimate space for a private wine tastings for up to 12 guests. Almost 1,000 bottles make up the carefully curated collection of wines that line the walls of the interior space.

The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong – SOMM

SOMM offer “Weekend Sommelier’s Lunch Menu” with a curated selection of over 1,600 champagnes, wines and sakes, served with a concise menu that pays homage to the seasons, including 2017 Cecilia Beretta Soave ‘Terre di Brognoligo’, 2015 Achaval-Ferrer, Malbec, and Daimon 55 Junmai Ginjo. Sommeliers will serve the best wine, sake, and champagnes from breakfast and lunch to dinner and a postprandial drink. The restaurant even have created small portions of 75ml for guests to order to taste and build up their wine & dine experience.

The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong – Amber

Amber is a Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant which has total of 14,000-bottle collection, with 1,900 references made up of 132 Champagne and sparkling wine selections, 605 white wine selections, 1,036 red wine selections, 112 sweet and fortified selections, and 15 sake selections. Additionally, Amber’s collection is primarily French, which reflects the preferences of its guests, including 2011 Château des Eyrins Margaux, 2002 Château Mouton Rothschild Pauillac, and 2001 Chapoutier, Ermitage blanc ‘L’Ermite’.

Mandarin Oriental, Santiago – Chilean Wine Culture

The hotel partnered with Franco-Chilean vineyard Lapostolle Chile in Colchagua Valley to produce two signature and exclusive wines for the hotel, which are MO Carmenere and MO Blanc. Meanwhile, the hotel offers special “Chilean Wine & Culture” package available year-round. Guests can visit to the Santa Rita Winery for a wine paring with local cheese and enjoy a three-course meal at the winery’s Restaurant Dona Paula.
