Flight Centre Travel Group’s in-house hotel management company BHMA has expanded its presence in Thailand launching its second Bangkok hotel, the X2 Vibe Bangkok Udomsuk Station.

BHMA announced today it had signed a hotel management agreement for the stylish property with Italmar (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

It joins X2 Vibe Bangkok Sukhumvit, opened in 2017 and belonging to the same owner, as BHMA’s second property under the modern, millennial X2 Vibe brand in the gateway capital city.

The new hotel is located just a few steps to Udomsuk Skytrain Station (BTS) in the heart of the popular Udomsuk  precinct with its local food street, supermarket, community mall and interchange of the light rail service, Bangna – SVB Airport line.

Managing Director of BHMA, Kent Davidson, said the launch of X2 Vibe Bangkok Udomsuk Station was a significant step in the company’s growth.

“We stated from the onset that one of our key strategies was to enter capital gateway cities, so to increase our presence in Bangkok is a significant win.

“It demonstrates that we are identifying key targets and hitting them,’’ he said.

BHMA CEO Peter Lucas said the X2 Vibe brand was an exciting new hotel and design concept for the hotel industry, inviting guests to stay, chill and enjoy.

“It’s modern, fresh and flexible. Areas can be reconfigured depending on what the guests want, offering co-working spaces, cafes and comfortable rooms. Functionality of design and location sets the brand apart,’’ he said.

”X2 Vibe appeals to young travellers who have their own character and are seeking a hotel that suits their lifestyle.

“After a successful opening and operation of X2 Vibe Bangkok Sukhumvit we are looking forward to expanding our presence in this thriving millennial destination,’’ he said.

“We are delighted to be once gain working with Italmar (Thailand) Co., Ltd who have reaffirmed their confidence in us to use our brand.”

Construction is underway on X2 Vibe Bangkok Udomsuk Station which welcome its first guests in 2021.

BHMA is rapidly expanding its portfolio, with six hotels and more in the pipeline to open this year.

The company currently operates 23 hotels across three distinct brands in Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia.
