Big Sky Retreats and its portfolio of premium, unique accommodation options in the mountainous town of Bright have welcomed two brand-new river fronted properties, Bridgewater and River Run. Offering a luxurious, secluded retreat surrounded by the lush bushlands of Victoria’s Alpine High Country, Bridgewater and River Run are the perfect option for large group getaways, family holidays and special events no matter the season.

Only a 2-3-minute drive or 20-minute walk from the township of Bright, the magnificent alpine setting creates a true sense of peace and privacy for families or friends wanting to escape the city hustle.

Both stretching over half an acre and nestled beside Bright’s famous Ovens River, the side by side properties are mirror images of each other, taking inspiration from the lake houses of North America and fused beautifully with modern Australian design and detail.

“We are thrilled to introduce Bridgewater and River Run to the beautiful town of Bright and expand our portfolio of unique accommodation options.  We have thoughtfully and purposefully designed these properties to cater to holidays, events and celebrations of all kinds and sizes, and hope guests experience the adventure, tranquillity, restfulness and joy that our secluded retreats and the natural surrounds can offer,” says Paul Absalom, Founder of Big Sky Retreats.

Ideal for groups of up to 10, or up to 20 if booked together for a larger retreat option, each property encompasses five generously sized and tastefully furnished bedrooms all with a private bathroom including luxury amenities from Hunter Lab.

A style of refined elegance is imbued in the impeccable interiors; rustic furniture pieces, stately artwork, modern light fittings and vintage décor are combined with small comforts that evoke the sights, sounds and smells of the bush.

Multiple sitting and dining areas, an open concept kitchen equipped with chef-grade appliances and an upstairs study nook and kids’ area allow for both communal meals and relaxation, as well as quiet moments alone browsing the thoughtfully chosen collection of books.

Stepping outside into the properties’ extensive gardens, guests are welcomed by an outdoor dining area on the patio providing the perfect setting for a summer barbecue. Tucked beneath the canopy of gum trees which line the properties, guests will also find an inground swimming pool framed by a wooden deck and line-up of sun loungers, a yoga lawn, outdoor fire pit and direct access to Ovens River, offering endless opportunities for activity and moments of serenity.

As well as close access to Bright Golf Course and the Murray to the Mountains Rail Trail popular with cyclists, Bridgewater and River Run have all bases covered for those craving movement offering a multipurpose fitness space equipped with commercial quality Star Trac Spin Bikes, Everest boxing gear, physio recommended yoga equipment, as well as bicycle storage racks and ski gear storage.

The spacious interiors and exteriors of Bridgewater and River Run, as well as the attention to detail and unique ability to book the two together, lend the properties to occasions of all kinds, including family celebrations, yoga retreats, corporate conferences, health and wellbeing retreats and intimate weddings.

Bridgewater and River Run join Big Sky Retreats’ already established boutique properties Ridgeview and Altitude I, forming a network of first-class accommodation offerings in north eastern Victoria.
