Boutique Corporation Public Company Limited (“Boutique”), through its affiliated company Bespoke Life Science Limited (“Bespoke”) and Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL) held a landmark event, as the first partnership to welcome honourary guests; the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Satit Pituthecha, and the Governor of Nan, Mr. Niphan Boonluang, to their cannabis growing lab in Nan, as part of a tour of the university. The event follows on from the MOU signed between Bespoke and RMUTL in October 2020 for the research and development of cannabis and hemp in Nan.

Following the legalisation of hemp for use in food and cosmetics as of early 2021, Bespoke in conjunction with RMUTL, has been working around the clock to expedite their efforts into the research, development and cultivation with an aim to eventually produce Thai traditional wellness products based on cannabis and hemp. Recently, the partnership reached another milestone, through the FDA application submission by RMUTL for the cultivation of cannabis on February 18, 2021.

Bespoke Life Science Limited, a company under Boutique Corporation PCL, has developed a state-of-the-art indoor facility for the cultivation of medical grade cannabis. The indoor lab will enable its team of expert growers to have complete control over the entire process with the aim of producing the highest quality cannabis and hemp.

Dr. Suraphon Chaiwongsa, Vice President for Research and Academic Services, RMUTL said: “The research and development of cannabis and hemp is hugely importance to RMUTL as we broaden the fields of study for our faculties and students. We aim to educate and raise awareness of the vast benefits of the crop and its multiple uses in medical and commercial products, in line with legislation set out by the Thai government which would create job opportunities and contribute to better quality of life for Thais. We are very pleased to partner with Bespoke and truly believe that their modern indoor cannabis growing facility with intensive research & development programme, will position Nan as a key region for high-quality cannabis and hemp.”
