Boutique hotel on Melbourne’s Lygon Street, Zagame’s House, is excited to announce Claire Gomolla as its new Head of Sales. With over 8 years of experience working in the Melbourne based travel and tourism sectors, Gomolla brings a wealth of accolades and knowledge to the role.
Until recently, Gomolla was Area Sales Manager in the Victorian and Tasmanian regions for The Art Series Hotel group. While there, Gomolla was highly successful in promoting new business opportunities for Art Series ‘The Chen’ Hotel in Box Hill, exceeding its revenue expectations by nearly 50% during her tenure.
Prior to this, Gomolla spent 3 years working as a business development manager for Melbourne Short Stay Apartments. In this position, Gomolla was responsible for developing sound business and marketing strategies to secure new accounts while simultaneously sustaining existing accounts. Along with many other achievements, under her management, sales goals were exceeded for 3 consecutive years, securing over three million in revenue for the business.
“From working in large corporations, to smaller scale tourism industries, I am extremely excited to be utilising my skills within such a successful, yet family owned business. Particularly given that this is their first boutique hotel project, I am excited to see the growth of the brand and be involved from the start,” Gomolla commented.
Zagame’s House is the result of an 18-million-dollar transformation of the former Downtowner on Lygon Street owned by the Zagame family for over 16 years. The 97-room hotel offers a variety of luxurious amenities, including wine bar and shop, Lord Lygon, a gym, café, and state of the art conference and event rooms. This is the first of a series of boutique hotels that the Zagame family will be expanding into nationally.
