The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) today announced it has named Bruce Hanna ACTE Regional Director for EMEA, effective 15 January. In this role, Bruce will be responsible for collaborating with ACTE global members and partners as the organisation works to bring the best in education and networking opportunities to the corporate travel industry worldwide.

“Bruce brings over 20 years of truly international experience to the position, with specialised expertise across Europe, the Middle East and Africa,” said Leigh Bochicchio, executive director, ACTE. “A leader in the travel industry, Bruce has a proven track record of driving results and leading successful teams. We’re thrilled he’s chosen to join us.”

Bruce has more than two decades’ experience in sales, account management, leadership and operations, working with a variety of organisations to spearhead global change management efforts and support strategic customer relationship initiatives, among other accomplishments. At Yapta, Inc., he was responsible for introducing, building awareness and education of the company’s Price Assurance concept throughout the EMEA region. He also helped promote Yapta’s fare and hotel price tracking technology to top 50 travel management companies. Prior roles include positions at Antenna International and Travelport.

“I have always had a strong desire about building relationships, leadership and education,” said Hanna. “I’m eager to make a meaningful contribution at ACTE, which will allow me to give back to an industry that has given me so much. I’m a huge believer in ‘the right role at the right time,’ and this timing is perfect.”

Bruce is based out of Belfast, Ireland, and holds a post-graduate diploma in business administration from Leicester University. In addition to his commitment to the business travel industry, Bruce serves as a business mentor for The Prince’s Trust in Northern Ireland, where he helps young people become entrepreneurs.
