Last week, Australian viewers were transported to the island paradise of Fiji with popular breakfast presenter, Stevie Jacobs, from Channel 9’s The TODAY Show.
Visiting much-loved Fijian destinations Denarau, the Coral Coast and the Mamanuca Islands, Jacobs showcased the Bula spirit to Australian viewers broadcasting live from Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa, Shangri-La Fijian Resort & Spa and VOMO Island Resort.
The TV broadcast, aligning with current Tourism Fiji consumer and trade marketing activity, has already made waves with increased booking enquiries at VOMO Island Resort as a result of the Flight Centre deals promoted throughout the broadcast.
Over the three days, The TODAY Show took viewers on an adventure showcasing unique Fiji experiences such as EcoTrax, a journey through Fiji’s old sugar cane railway on modified electric bicycle carriages; Cloud 9, Fiji’s floating day club paradise anchored in the turquoise waters of the Mamanucas; and the beautiful Garden of the Sleeping Giant and Orchid Falls.
Jacobs was greeted by Australian travellers already holidaying in Fiji as well as a surprise appearance by Sophie Monk, host of Channel 9’s Love Island Australia. Monk is currently in Fiji filming the reality dating show.
