As 2019 is drawing to an end, we welcome a new decade, celebrating 10 years in the industry!

Our General Manager, the flamboyant Jaco Kok, played a huge part in establishing our beautiful camp over the last 7 years. Jaco has decided to open a new chapter in his career whilst remaining closely associated with the camp as shareholder and director. He will however be passing the baton on to a ew GM team who will take over from beginning 2020. Our team is excited!

It’s true to say CAMP KUZUMA is one of Africa’s most understated, authentic and conic Tented Camps, located in the Chobe enclave in Botswana! Nestled in the Kazuma Forest Reserve, our 5-star, eco-certified camp awaits you. We aim to cherish and protect the wilderness for future generations, understanding the need for man and beast to armonise and retain pristine elements on our planet.

Offering the tranquility of the Wilderness, the beauty of the mighty Chobe River and – if one wishes– Victoria’s Falls and the world’s oldest river The Zambezi, the CAMP KUZUMA team dreamed to add Safari Magic”. So in 2020, CAMP KUZUMA is raising the bar and is taking to the air.

Imagine floating in a Wicker Basket, lifted up by an enormous Hot Air Balloon! Silent like a cumulus loud, blown by the breeze enabling one to engulf Mother Africa from the sky above and view in all her glory!

The team of Air Venture Balloon Safari’s is ready for take-off!

They will be offering HOT AIR BALLOON SAFARI’S right on our doorstep. Being transferred to the aunching site just before sunrise, you will experience the most beautiful time of the day as you en- gage with the enormous balloon being filled with hot air. Then hop into the wicker basket and gently float up into the sky – blown by the breeze – to enjoy breathtakingly beautiful views of the sunrise and the wilderness waking up in all her glory.

This once-in-a-lifetime experience will continue with a fabulous Hot and Cold Breakfast Buffet at AMP KUZUMA, overlooking the very popular waterhole right in front of our main area where ele- phants come to dip their trunks and drink – sometimes as many as 150 at a time, as we are located in one of the world’s largest free flowing elephant corridors between the Chobe National Park in Bo- tswana and the Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe.
