Canberra Good Food Month presented by Citi ​is working with Canberra’s top restaurants to launch  the city’s inaugural ​Friends of Good Food Month​ – an exciting, new event series which will see leading  restaurants curate and host unique experiences to best showcase their culinary excellence.

Good Food Month has returned to Australia’s capital this March 2020, for the sixth sensational year.  Inspiring chef collaborations will bring together home-grown talent from around the country to  celebrate Canberra’s evolving dining scene.

Strictly for ages 18+, ​Friends of Good Food Month​ events range from dinner at t​he National Arboretum  Canberra with Australian food icon Maggie Beer​ to an ​evening of fine food and wine as curated by  Executive Chef Andrew Morrow in support and celebration of Braddon Merchant’s South Coast  suppliers. For one very exclusive evening, pastry chef extraordinaire Andy Bowdy will also be  collaborating with TERRA for a seven course tasting menu.

Canberrans can delight and indulge themselves in a culinary journey like they’ve never seen before, with  events including:

The Duxton | Bottomless ‘Black Opal’ Brunch​ | Sunday 8 March, 10:30am – 12:30pm   or 1.30pm – 3.30pm | $58  There is no better way to share a lazy Sunday morning with friends than over a free-flowing brunch. To  celebrate Good Food Month, The Duxton will be hosting two exclusive sittings of their ‘Black Opal’  brunch event with an endless supply of Brookvale Union Vodka Peach Ice Tea and Strongbow Blossom  Rose Cider.

TERRA|TERRA x Andy Bowdy (SAGA)​ | Wednesday 18 March, 6:00pm – 9:00pm | $85  For one exclusive evening, pastry chef extraordinaire, Andy Bowdy, will be collaborating with the TERRA  kitchen as part of the Friends of Good Food Month program. The evening will consist of seven courses –  three from the TERRA team as well as two savoury and two dessert courses from Andy as he showcases  his craft.     National Arboretum Canberra | Maggie Beer Foundation Dinner​ |Thursday 19 March, 6:30pm –  10:30pm | $195  Meet all-time favourite Australian food icon, Maggie Beer, this Good Food Month at a special one-off  dinner at the National Arboretum Canberra. Enjoy canapés from the talented team at Ginger Catering  and a four course menu inspired by local, sustainably sourced ingredients whilst Maggie talks about her  love for cooking and passion on improving the health and nutrition of older people through her own  charity, the Maggie Beer Foundation.

Braddon Merchant | South Coast x Braddon Merchant​ |Thursday 19 March, 6:00pm – 8:00pm and  8:30pm – 10:30pm | $99  In support and celebration of Braddon Merchant’s South Coast suppliers, join them for an evening of  fine food and wine curated by executive chef Andrew Morrow. The former Hayman Island and Bathers’  Pavilion chef is fresh back into the Australian food scene after completing a residency at the Emirates  Palace in the United Arab Emirates, and is set to bring his ethical food philosophy centred around  seasonal, local and regional produce to this special celebratory dinner event.
