As part of an ongoing series of experiential packages being offered by Carlton Tel Aviv, the luxury hotel announces this week the addition of a new culinary-focused package available throughout the Summer of 2018.The “Taste of Tel Aviv” package connects guests with the culinary personalities, institutions and traditions that have made Tel Aviv one of the most highly sought after “foodie” destinations in the world.

Recently named Israel’s leading business hotel by the World Travel Awards for the fifth time, Carlton Tel Aviv is pleased to offer the following as part of the “Taste of Tel Aviv” package:

  • 3 nights’ stay at the Carlton Tel Aviv in a Premium single room category including breakfast
  • A guided tour of Carmel Market or Levinsky Market by Eager Tourist. This tasting tour introduces guests to the heartbeat of Israel’s modern city-in the stalls and shops of the city’s bustling markets. Diving into the depths of the markets and the backstreets of the historic Yemenite quarter, guests will learn about the development of Israeli cuisine and how generations of vendors are able to maintain their shops after almost 100 years.  The tour’s many tastings will include some of the country’s freshest hummus, street food, produce, baked goods and Yemenite cuisine.
  • Private vegan cooking class by Phyllis Glazer. In Israel, Phyllis is considered the “guru” of healthy and organic food.  Her recipes and approach are featured in magazines, radio programs and news broadcasts across the country, and her lectures and cooking workshops are some of the most sought after in the culinary community! This Vegan cooking workshop takes place in her private kitchen, and teaches guests how to extract amazing flavor from the day’s “market catch.”
  • Dinner at Carlton Tel Aviv’s Lumina by Meir Adoni. Overlooking the glistening Mediterranean Sea, Lumina by Meir Adoni combines a fresh bistro feel with innovative Jewish food, a fun open kitchen where guests can see what’s cooking, and floor-to-ceiling windows that open to the fresh sea breeze. With indoor and outdoor tables, this vibrant restaurant on the marina serves three different styles in one menu: traditional Jewish dishes, Bistro classics, and freshly baked goods. With world-renowned Chef Meir Adoni at the helm, guests are guaranteed the freshest fare and most thoughtful preparations.

Price for the “Taste of Tel Aviv” Package starts at $1,385USD for a single occupancy room and tours/experiences for one person.  It is available from August 15 – September 30, 2018.
