The results are in for the 2018 Cruise Critic Cruisers’ Choice Destination Awards with cruisers from around the world nominating Carnival Cruise Line as the number one cruise line for sailings to the South Pacific and Hawaii.

Carnival’s itineraries to New Caledonia, Vanuatu and Fiji have been a highlight of the cruise line’s Australian program since it arrived Down Under in 2012, while annual cruises to and from Hawaii Australia are also part of the brand’s itinerary mix.

Carnival Cruise Line Vice President Australia Jennifer Vandekreeke said the cruise line was thrilled to be recognised for exceeding guest expectations on its itineraries to these tropical hotspots, particularly as the awards were based on guest feedback.

“We’re honoured that our passengers, through the Cruise Critic awards, have voted us the best cruise line to the South Pacific. We strive to deliver amazing experiences for our guests on sailings to these beautiful destinations. We’re thrilled that our guests have recognised the dedication of our crew and our partners in the South Pacific.”

Carnival’s US-based operations also received a top placing in the list of ‘Best Lines in the Mexican Riviera’.

This is the third year the Cruise Critic Cruisers’ Choice Destination Awards have been held, but the first time they have highlighted the best cruise lines to visit various regions. Each title was awarded based entirely on consumer ratings submitted with reviews on Cruise Critic over the past year.

An example of the feedback that helped secure the title ‘Best Cruise Line in the South Pacific’ for Carnival said: “Every day and every night were jam-packed with activities that everyone could participate in. If you’re the type to relax, there are also a number of beautiful places in the ship that you can just sit in and enjoy” – Cruise Critic Member.

Cruise Critic boasts the world’s largest online cruise community, with more than 350,000 cruise reviews, covering approximately 500 cruise ships and over 300 ports worldwide.
