Spread the love

In celebration of the Year of the Pig, The Langham, Hong Kong presents a range of festive offerings including the three Michelin-starred Cantonese gourmets, signature puddings and the value-added accommodation programme to usher in good fortune and prosperity in the New Year.

T’ang Court

Offering an exquisite selection of refined Cantonese culinary mastery over the years and recognised as one of the five three-Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurants in the world for four years in a row, Chinese Master Chef Kwong Wai Keung and T’ang Court Executive Chef Wong Chi Fai have meticulously crafted a festive menu with some of the very conventional festive recipes.

Luxuriate with Braised Dried Abalone with Fish Maw and Beche-de-Mer and indulge in three of the four most premium ingredients of Cantonese cuisine in one dish. The 28-head abalone from the Middle East is simmered to wonderfully tender with a sweet centre. Served with a rich and luscious abalone sauce, the dish has an intense and irresistible abalone aroma to sate the appetite.

Chinese soup lovers should not miss the Double-boiled Fish Maw Soup with Conpoy and Sea Whelk. Double-boiled for six hours, the premium dried fish maw roll is tender and rich in collagen, combining with quality sea whelk from the U.S. as one of the most sought-after nourishing delicacy during winter.

With seafood and vegetables artistically presented on a golden-fried nest, the Sautéed Prawns and Scallops with Celery, Red and Yellow Bell Pepper in Taro Nest conveys the auspicious message of bountiful gold and wealth nestled in one’s home. The crunchiness of the taro nest matches perfectly with the exceptional sweetness and freshness of tiger prawns and Australian scallops.

Chinese New Year is about family reunion and would not be complete without delicate dim sums. For those who would like to celebrate in a traditional way, enjoy the Golden-fried Minced Yunnan Ham and Egg Fritters, a conventional Chinese New Year festive savoury with long history. The mixture of Yunnan ham and foie gras paste creates a distinctive and invigorating flavour. Other delectable dim sums include Baked Pastries filled with Bird’s Nest and Mixed SeafoodSteamed Dried Red Date Cake topped with Dried Barbary Wolfberry Fruit, and more.

The exclusive Chinese New Year menu will be available during the first to the seventh day of the lunar calendar from 5 to 11 February 2019. Festive dim sum selections will be served during lunch period only.
