A country with more than 5,000 years of tea drinking tradition, this October we mark the annual mid-autumn festival and Golden Week holiday season with afternoon tea inspired by Chinese tradition. Savouries reflect Oriental influences, including a rice paper roll with marinated wild mushroom and sweet soy sauce, and smoked duck dressed with a pumpkin honey mustard and yuzu pearl; while desserts pick up on traditional flavours with green tea chocolate profiteroles and strawberry and ginger tartlets. The star of the show is our signature mini Armani moon cake, an autumnal must-try, best enjoyed with a cup of your favourite oolong tea.

Step into any Italian deli this month and you’ll find baskets filled with foraged mushrooms from finferli, ovoli and chiodini to the more familiar porcini. A traditional seasonal pastime, the harvesting of fresh mushrooms has formed the basis of an endless variety of unique dishes with funghi as the star ingredient. Join us at Armani/Ristorante this September for a special five-course mushroom degustation menu featuring filled shitake mushroom with ravioli, caviar-marinated gravlax salmon served with honey mushrooms and fennel pollen, quail with chanterelles and the
ubiquitous porcini in a rich classic risotto. We won’t spoil the surprise, but even dessert has a hint of funghi to excite the palate…
