Carefully crafted dining experiences cover everything from Christmas Eve cocktails complemented by children performing Christmas carols, to a delectable 5-course dinner menu at Bella Cucina accompanied by live Jazz. The sumptuous Christmas Eve international buffet at Taman Gita provides a feast for the senses and the taste buds, with a Japanese live station, decadent selection of hot and cold seafood dishes, aromatic Asian dishes and a Live carving station with Maple glazed Christmas ham on the bone, Traditional roast turkey with game jus, Greek style roast lamb leg with tzatziki and Roast beef with horseradish cream. As Christmas Day dawns, guests can soak up the views over the sparkling ocean with a tropical Picnic Breakfast served on the white sandy beach. The day continues with a decadent Gourmet Brunch on offer as well as a delightful 5-course menu at Bella Cucina. Highlights include Mushroom veloute caviar, Chicken confit terrine feves , Pan roasted barramundi fillet, and Chocolate fondant with raspberry coulis and seasonal berries.
New Year’s Eve promises its own island-style revelry with guests treated to a choice of sumptuous dining experiences, from exquisite Japanese delights at KO Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge to an extravagant Indonesian Buffet at Taman Gita, a fun Family Set Dinner, and a lively Countdown at Sunset Beach Bar and Grill with cocktails, live DJ and midnight fireworks blazing across the sky. Bella Cucina once again offers a sublime 5-course menu to herald the new year. Guests can indulge in Hot smoked apple wood salmon, Braised Beef Cheek cepe risotto port wine jus and brioche, and Individual Pavlova with mango lime and passion fruit.
Of course there is more to Christmas than eating fine food, it is also a time for giving. InterContinental Bali Resort puts a strong emphasis on local community and island heritage and in the spirit of ‘giving back’ guests are welcome to participate in a special charity initiative run by the resort. Gifts made by children in a local orphanage can be purchased for a small donation, with all proceeds going towards covering educational and daily living costs at Panti Salam Orphanage.
