Spread the love

The holidays are a chance for friends and family to gather and celebrate the year that’s been, as well as the year to come. Understanding the importance of the season, opulent Uluwatu resort Karma Kandara has welcomed a fortnight of festivities dubbed the 12 days of Karma for the Christmas and New Year period of 2019. Imagine a bounty of celebrations catering to both young and old, with specialty offerings available from every facet of Karma Kandara, from Karma Spa to Di Mare restaurant, in ode to the festive season.

The wellness-inclined will be able to foray in the holistic offerings for which the resort has become famed; take daily yoga classes with Global Ambassador Ola Lirka, followed by intuitive tea and tarot reading with experienced practitioner Silvia Galambos.

Those who prefer cocktails to chakras will be able to indulge in one of the twelve different drinks conjured up for the occasion; each new day introduces a new drink. Cheers to Christmas Day with a Merry Berry (vodka, lemon juice, cranberry juice, ginger lemonade foam, raspberry rosemary syrup), with the aptly named Day of the Dead (marigold-infused tequila, lime juice, banana liqueur, charcoal and osmanthus syrup) making an appearance on January 1.

Continue the party at the recently refurbished Karma Beach Bali. The beachside space has long been a hub of live music and nightlife, and this festive season will remain a haven for those who want to dance the night away. During the 12 Days of Karma, the haunt will host daily parties, as well as a rotating line-up of international DJs, including Jon sa Trinxa, Pete Gooding, and Silicone Soul.

After indulging in some lively New Year’s Eve celebrations, guests can recover at a pop-up hangover remedy bar courtesy of a collaboration with Cocoon Medical Spa. Infusion packages aplenty are available here for a decent dose of vitamins; choose from the jet lag hydration booster, detox and recharge, and anti-ageing rejuvenation.

In light of the season of giving, Karma Kandara will also have a giving tree initiative. A series of Christmas trees placed throughout the resort, where guests are asked to donate 300k – this money will be used to purchase gifts for the disadvantaged kids of Bali Life Foundation. On Christmas Eve they will visit Di Mare restaurant for carols, and afterwards receive a special visit from santa, with gifts purchased from the money donated.
