Chiva-Som International Academy, a professional wellness school located in Bangkok, Thailand and managed by Chiva-Som, the world-renowned pioneer in transformative wellness, has announced the launch of its Chiva-Som International Academy Online Courses. Courses will be conducted through an easy-to-use, interactive online platform to provide e-learning to spa owners and managers, therapists and all those who are interested stepping into a career in wellness.
Chiva-Som International Academy Online Courses will feature an Anatomy and Physiology course on 13th – 24th July and 14th – 25th September 2020. While a Spa Development course and a Spa Management course are able to be arranged subject to the student’s time zone and number of registered students from 1st August 2020 onwards. To begin with, there will be three courses open for submission with a limit of 15 students per course who will have the opportunity to interact and gain from the valuable experience of the course educators.
ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY ONLINE COURSE
This course provides a basic introduction to the human body, covering areas such as structure and function of various systems within the body, including disease and disorder. It is a valuable resource for those working in beauty therapy, complementary therapy or any related field. Getting access to such vital knowledge will help therapists administer treatments safely and accurately while recognising contraindications.
Towards the end of the course, the academy will conduct theory examinations. Separate CIBTAC examination dates will be issued annually by the Examining Board. Once completed, the E-CSA Professional Certificate in Anatomy and Physiology will be presented to a successful student.
The course runs over ten days on 13th – 24th July or 14th – 25th September 2020 with a total lecture timeframe of 60 hours. It is priced at THB 17,000 per person
SPA DEVELOPMENT ONLINE COURSE
This course is to learn how to start up a spa business. It provides an in-depth understanding of how to start up and implement a spa business in the current environment, as well as how to operate after the pandemic. It is the ideal course for owners of start-ups or for those who work in spa businesses or are interested in opening their own. There is no prior spa background experience required.
The course runs over five days and can be arranged from 1st August 2020 with a total lecture timeframe of 30 hours. It is priced at THB 39,000 per person
SPA MANAGEMENT ONLINE COURSE
Ideal for spa owners and spa managers who manage spas on a daily basis, this course is designed to help people achieve their business goals. The spa management course looks at operations via the nine key functions of the Spa Manager, along with providing an understanding and knowledge in managing spa professionally with various approaches to achieve effective results. Previous experience in the industry is preferred but not essential.
