Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) is expecting another stellar year for the country’s only national business events industry showcase, MEETINGS to be held from 21 to 23 April in Auckland.

CINZ Chief Executive Sue Sullivan says MEETINGS received rave reviews from both exhibitors and buyers in 2019. This year’s event, held in May 2019, generated a record $62 million of business signed by exhibitors on the show floor.

“Every year our exhibitors are delighted at the exposure they get to all the important players in the industry, the high quality of our pre-qualified hosted buyers and the unique opportunity MEETINGS gives them to write major business for the year, all in two days.”

“Already we have huge interest for 2020 with exhibitors signing up now in anticipation of April’s event. Our Luxury Collection has again confirmed its status as New Zealand’s leading high-end showcase, and it is expected to sell out early,” she says.

CINZ Australia Manager, Sharon Auld says hosted buyers are starting to apply now to attend the 2020 show, after excellent feedback from 2019.

“We have some exciting news about the MEETINGS 2020 familiarisation programme for Australian buyers. With support from our regional Convention Bureaux and Air New Zealand, we have four weekend pre-famils – Northland, Rotorua, Wellington and Christchurch on 18 to 20 April. Our two post-famils include a signature two-day experience in Queenstown for 20 hosted buyers, and the Waikato region is returning with a very special, high-end post-MEETINGS programme for ANZAC weekend,” Sharon Auld says.

“Auckland’s annual pre-MEETINGS familiarisation day is always a must-attend and once again Auckland Convention Bureau will be pulling out all the stops to showcase the latest New Zealand’s biggest city on Tuesday 21 April.”

Exhibitors can book their space for MEETINGS 2020 with a special earlybird offer available before 30 September, and hosted buyers can register their interest online now for MEETINGS in April 2020.
