Gastromarket city’super is sending ‘Festive Blessings’ as Hong Kong’s one-stop shop for a classy Christmas at its four specialty stores

Premium ‘Festive Blessings’ specialties and exclusives provide for every imaginable celebration – from party sets for delivery and prized ingredients for home chefs to hampers and gifting.

For home chefs cooking Christmas Dinner, city’super is importing premium seafood, high quality meats and various kinds of ingredients from around the world covering complete menus – from starter, soup, salad, seafood and main courses to after dinner desserts and beverages.

Headlining gourmet ingredients include prized Spanish Segovia Frozen Premium Whole Suckling Pig (approx. 3-4kg; HK$22 / 100g), which is also available in a party set priced HK$1,380 for the whole pig (approx. 3kg) with Sauteed Mushrooms with French Ceps, and HK$680 for 1/4 (approx. 800g). Roasting specialties extend to Organic Chilled Turkey Bronze (approx. 6.5kg; HK$1,750) from multi award-winning organic farmer Daylesford; and premium USA Chilled Long Term Grain Fed Angus Rib Tomahawk  (approx. 1.3-1.5kg; HK$95 / 100g) which is reared by a small family business.

A new concept for city’super invites customers to a festive feast while Christmas shopping in Amazing Food Hall at city’super Times Square store. As well as a traditional Christmas dinner menu, favourite ingredients can be purchased and cooked by chefs for immediate enjoyment, from jet-fresh sushi, sashimi and seafood to truffle specialties with pasta, chicken, burger, mushroom and even organic fries with truffle salt.

Among premium seafood is top-quality Japanese Scallop U15 for Cooking (HK$50 / 100g) from Hokkaido, New Caledonia Angel Prawn – 20/30 (HK$70 / 100g) and Cooked Snow Crab Leg (HK$62 / 100g) – so much fresher, sweeter and better than fake crab stick!

Prestigious Piedmont truffle brand Tartuflanghe is showcasing its gastronomic specialty white truffle, along with truffle sauces, condiments, oils, pasta – even chocolate and potato chips!

Gourmet indulgence extends to city’super Beluga Caviar (HK$2,780) and Ossetra Caviar (HK$1,280); and premium selection sake and wine such as Born Dan Junmai Daiginjo (HK$1,730), Born Premium Sparkling Junmai Daiginjo (HK$410) and Cuvee des 6 Cepages Brut Nature Limited Edition Gold (HK$598).

Additional individual party-at-home options are headlined by seafood selections of French Oysters (HK$22-HK$168 / pc), PDO Blue Mussels (HK$170 / pack) from Mont Saint-Michel Bay and Australian Patagonian Toothfish Fish Slice (HK$88 / 100g), sustainably caught in the Australian Antarctic Territory.

Pasta-lovers can order Spanish Red King Prawn Jumbo (HK$140 / 100g), with meat-lover choices including free-range French Chilled Bresse Chicken (approx. 1.3-1.5kg; HK$36 / 100g) or Spanish Iberico Lamb Rack (approx. 400g; HK$100 / 100g).

Western-style Party Sets for home delivery are perfect for friends, families or festive company gatherings, available from 25 November 2019 to 1 January 2020 (excluding specific party sets). Sets are headlined by ‘Best of city’super’ (HK$8,888, for 8–10 people) featuring a luxurious selection of Chinese Ossetra caviar, platters of deli & cheese and seafood & oysters; roasted French turkey with stuffing and sauces; new on the menu Spanish Segovia premium whole suckling pig; carvery of USA Chilled Long-term Grain-fed Angus Beef Tomahawk Rib Eye Steak; vegetables, strawberries, Torta Pistocchi Chocolate Cake and a celebration bottle of Champagne Philippe Gonet Belemnita Grand Cru 2005, plus Quintessa 2011.

New and exclusive is a non-alcohol alternative for drinks for festive parties, NORDA, an Italian mineral water brand, both still and sparkling, sourced from pristine alpine peaks in Northern Italy, the choice of Italian Serie A football team Inter Milan.

Available from now to 20 Dec 2019 for ordering, 23 options include the priciest ‘Christmas Extravaganza’ (HK$66,888) which is available for ordering from now to 7 Dec 2019, a gourmet treasure chest of grand cru wines, revered single malt whisky and sake, fine French and Italian cheeses, premium cold cuts, caviar, foie gras and white truffle, complete with an organic roast turkey.  For wine lovers, a ‘Luxurious Christmas’ (HK$9,888) embraces fine wine with an elegant selection of Chablis, Pinot Noir and Riesling – indulged with foie gras, truffle cream and rare balsamic vinegar.

From Daylesford, the multi award-winning farmer and purveyor of organic meat & poultry, fruit & vegetables, bread, cheese, milk and yoghurt, ‘Daylesford Afternoon Tea’ (HK$1,680) is a new addition to its British Hamper series with teas, honey, jam and biscuits, sparkled by a bottle of French bubbly rosé.
