Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia has launched its next-generation education platform, giving travel agent members access to a new learning experience in a single, streamlined location.

Live today, the entirely new platform has introduced new features, new content and simplified services to make travel agents’ work easier and boost their cruise knowledge.

CLIA Head of International Training & Development Peter Kollar said the new system combined the existing CLIA Learning Academy and CLIA Member Hub.

“The new system creates a better and more cohesive experience for travel agent users while at the same time providing a foundation for expansion in the future,” Mr Kollar said. “With Adobe’s announcement that its Flash Player is being retired in 2020, CLIA Australasia took the opportunity to develop a new system to evolve and grow. At a time when education has never been more important, we’ll continue to add more content over the year ahead and beyond.”

Under development since last year, the new Members Hub introduces dedicated areas for individual cruise lines, allowing agents to access information such as BDM contact lists, view webinars, download brochures, find news and promotions, and take up cruise line training.

There is also an amalgamated calendar that combines CLIA events with cruise line initiatives such as information evenings, ship inspections and roadshows.

Existing education components have been updated in look and content, while new courses are being introduced as part of a new, streamlined learning structure.
