The milestone has been achieved by more than 5,300 travel agents from across Australia and New Zealand since the launch of CLIA’s online training modules in late 2014.

“Training and career development are the biggest benefits of CLIA membership for travel agents and allow them to get ahead of their competitors and fully capitalise on the growing cruise market,” said CLIA Head of International Training & Development Peter Kollar. “The speed at which travel agents have completed their training shows how much demand there is for quality insight into the rapidly changing world of cruise.”

The CLIA online Learning Academy includes more than 1,000 pages of content and more than 150 downloadable resources for CLIA travel agent members. Its content covers the full spectrum of the cruise industry, including cruise lines that together represent 95% of the world’s cruise capacity.
