Following the announcement by the Australian Federal Government overnight, that international travel restrictions will continue until December, Club Med, the pioneer of premium all-inclusive resorts has today announced further support for Australian travellers.

To ensure travellers have peace of mind, Club Med has introduced new flexible policies to allow guests to rebook and replan their international holidays with ease:

  • Rebook 2020 holiday the following year* (same destination, dates & guests) for the same price.
  • Receive a Future Travel Credit* for the full amount you have paid for the resort stay, to be redeemed for travel to any Club Med resort worldwide.

Club Med General Manager, Pacific, Rachael Harding said: “We understand after a long period of hibernation, Australian travellers are eager to travel internationally once again, to immerse themselves in different cultures, reunite with loved ones and experience different parts of the world.  In light of the recent travel advice by the Australian Federal Government, we are prioritising existing bookings and working around the clock to ensure our loyal clients are looked after.”

Club Med has a 70-year-long legacy delivering perfect holiday escapes and is trusted by families, couples and friends worldwide.  New safety and hygeine protocols have been introduced throughout resorts to give peace-of-mind in preparation for international travel restrictions easing, including;

  • Operating at a maximum resort capacity of 70%
  • Plexiglass protection on all service counters, including concierge and check-in
  • Digital & in-app services such as “Easy Check-In”, Spa booking and in-room service requests
  • Club Med operates with the Safe Together Program developed with the support of Ecolab, a global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services.
  • Guest’s temperature checks upon check-in and during stay
  • Increased frequency of deep cleaning for all high-touch-point public areas
  • Doctor/nurse available 24/7
