Adding to its growing collection of distinguished properties all around the world, Kempinski is thrilled to unveil the latest addition to its line of five-star hotels with the opening of The Apurva Kempinski Bali in February, 2019.

This much anticipated opening marks the first Kempinski resort on the island and its second property in Indonesia.

“We are excited to welcome The Apurva Kempinski Bali and add this iconic property to our hotel portfolio. From its unique architecture to artfully curated interior design, The Apurva Kempinski Bali will present itself as a majestic open-air theatre in which the guests will have the opportunity to experience the wonders of this unique island,” says Michael Henssler, Chief Operating Officer Asia, Kempinski Hotels, and Member of the Management Board.

Set amidst the dramatic cliffs and immaculate beaches of Nusa Dua in southern Bali, the hotel features 475 stylish guest rooms, iconic suites and exclusive villas, five dining venues, and a Cigar & Shisha Lounge. Facilities include an ocean-facing spa and fitness centre, a 60-metre swimming pool, a kids’ pool, and a family club. For events, business meetings and weddings, The Apurva Kempinski Bali offers a 1,076 square-metre pillar-free and ocean-view grand ballroom, meeting rooms, The Apurva beachfront wedding chapels, and a 2,200 square-metre ocean-front lawn for exceptional outdoor gatherings and events.

Award-winning architect Budiman Hendropurnomo of Denton Corker Marshall and highly acclaimed interior designer Rudy Dodo of Trivium Design Group worked together to create a curated design masterpiece.

From the unmistakeable characteristics of Balinese architecture, landscape and guiding principles to the Indonesian-inspired interior design aesthetics, the nation’s heritage and meticulous craftsmanship are thoroughly reflected throughout the hotel.

“We are very excited about the upcoming opening of The Apurva Kempinski Bali. We have meticulously researched and worked with artisans to assemble the best of Indonesian craftsmanship, sharing with the traveller the richness of the destination’s cultural heritage. We trust that Kempinski will strengthen our vision in delivering an elevated interpretation through personalised local experiences,” says William Katuari, President Director of Wings Group and the hotel’s owning company.

Ahead of the anticipated opening of The Apurva Kempinski Bali, a bold Place to Discover campaign has been unveiled. It’s a unique positioning by the resort to highlight its distinctive philosophy.

Embodying a fully integrated, multi-platform approach that is unprecedented in traditional hospitality advertising, the campaign is comprised of six short films in 10, 30 and 90 seconds. Rather than focusing on the facilities and services of the property, the movies depict a striking ‘Majestic Open-Air Theatre’ – the evocative brand of the resort which revolves around Spectacular, Sensational, Curated and Serene themes. The storyline features the Kempinski Brand Ambassador, Lady in Red, who reveals the stage at The Apurva Kempinski Bali by travelling through each of the brand pillars.

The short movies run with the hashtag #placetodiscover and will be revealed on the resort’s social media channels –

“We are very excited to finally take the first step towards our debut. This series is a reflection of our unique identity that differentiates and sets us apart”, says Vincent Guironnet, General Manager of The Apurva Kempinski Bali.

In conjunction with the campaign, The Apurva Kempinski Bali is pleased to announce that reservations are now open for 1 February 2019, and it will soon unveil its opening offer for Q1 2019.

Apurva translates to ‘unique and magnificent’ in Sanskrit, embracing Kempinski’s dedication to bringing unique experiences to life.

Honouring the nation’s belief in unity in diversity, the hotel establishes its distinctiveness as a tribute to the richness of Indonesian cultural heritage. The Apurva Kempinski Bali is the quintessence of luxury living in Bali.
