Coral Expeditions, Australia’s pioneering expedition cruise line, has been announced as the winner of ‘Best for Adventure’ by Cruise Critic, the world’s largest cruise review site and online cruise community.

The Australian Editors’ Pick Awards are in their fourth year, with winners elected by a global panel of impartial cruise experts to highlight the best expedition, ocean, river and luxury cruise lines for Australian travellers.

As Coral Expeditions moves to an all-new blue-water expedition fleet by 2021, Jeff Gillies, Commercial Director of Coral Expeditions, says the company, which operates small ship expeditions to remote regions of Australia, Indonesia, New Guinea, the South Pacific and Indian Ocean islands, is honoured to win this award again.

“The team at Coral Expeditions are thrilled to be recognised with this award for the second consecutive year. After 35 years of pioneering the expedition cruise sector in Australia and beyond, adventure is in our DNA,” Jeff said.

“Our guests continue to tell us that they love our authentic expedition experiences. Our new fleet of expedition vessels are opening up new adventures across the small islands and coastal corners of the Southern Hemisphere. These are exciting times and this type of recognition fuels our passion.”

Cruise Critic boasts the world’s largest online cruise community, with more than 650,000 cruise reviews, covering approximately 700 cruise ships and over 500 worldwide ports.

Louise Goldsbury, Managing Editor, Cruise Critic Australia, said, “Australians and New Zealanders are increasingly choosing a cruise holiday over land-based options, and cruise lines are consequently capitalising on this popularity by investing in fantastic new ships, well-thought out refurbishments and a host of amazing, new onboard innovations and destination itineraries to keep Aussies and Kiwis coming back for more.”
