Cornwall’s Pentillie Castle launches ‘Pentillie Retreats’

Pentillie Castle, an award-winning 5 star luxury B&B, wedding and events venue, is to launch a series of ‘retreats’, designed to take participants away from the stresses and strains of modern everyday life.
The series of carefully curated breaks will offer yoga, walking and writing and the opportunity to enjoy delicious food and great company, all in the surroundings of the beautiful castle and 2000 acre estate, set on the banks of the River Tamar, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Health and Well Being Yoga Retreats
At the holistic yoga retreats, the first of which is Friday 9th – Sunday 11th November, participants can spend the weekend relaxing and unwinding with experienced yoga teacher, Jackie Robinson . Throughout the weekend there will be a timetable of yoga, pranayama, meditation, kriyas, chanting – with an option to practice at Pentillie’s new stone circle and enjoy stunning views over to Dartmoor and beyond.

Writing Retreats
At the ‘It’s Never too Late to Write – writing retreat for women‘, Friday 1st – Sunday 3rd February 2019, author Vanessa Gebbie will give participants an opportunity to kick start creative ideas. So whether its short fiction, novel-length fiction, poetry, or memoirs – she’ll support budding writers, sharing her experience and love of writing. Would-be writers can walk the woodland gardens, admire the views, lounge in front of open log fires, eat delicious food, sip a glass or two of fine wine, and indulge inner creativity while mingling with fellow writers.
TedWalks – Walking Retreats
If walking is your way to unwind, Pentillie’s very own Ted Coryton is delighted to offer fascinating accompanied walks around the nearby Tamar Valley and over Dartmoor.Pentillie Castle owner Ted is an avid walker and expert on the beautiful strolls to be had around the Tamar Valley and across Dartmoor. The TedWalks, (which are not linked in any way to TEDTalks), start from Pentillie Castle which stands proudly on the border of Devon and Cornwall overlooking the Tamar Valley, offering the perfect haven to enjoy the very best walks in the West Country. Ted chooses specific TedWalks according to the season and weather and a moderate level of fitness is required to cope with the South West’s undulating countryside and steep cliff paths. TedWalks will be based on a 2 night fully catered package, with dates available during February and March.
