Today, globally renowned Forbes Travel Guide revealed its highly coveted 2019 Five Star Award winners – with Crown Towers Melbourne retaining its status as Victoria’s only Forbes Five Star hotel for the third year running.

As one of only two Australian hotels to have achieved the award, this latest accolade reinforces Crown Towers as one of the leading premium brands and one of Australia’s most prestigious destinations in luxury accommodation.

“Crown Towers prides itself on setting the benchmark in luxury standards in every market in which we operate. We set out to provide an unprecedented level of experience and we are both humbled and honoured by this endorsement from Forbes,” says Crown Hotels Melbourne Executive General Manager, Shaun D’Cruz.

Already an icon of best-in-class luxury in its two properties in both Melbourne and Perth, the industry is keenly awaiting the launch of its first Sydney property at Barangaroo, due for opening in 2021.

“To win this award three years running is a testament to the strength of the brand and the quality of service that sits at the heart of the Towers offering. It’s definitely a reputation and positioning that we will capitalise on as we begin our focus on Sydney, ahead of its launch in 2021.”

“We are delighted to celebrate the 2019 Star Rating winners, an outstanding collection of hotels, restaurants and spas that demonstrates a strong culture of service,” says Filip Boyen, Chief Executive Officer of Forbes Travel Guide.

“In a time of information overload and fake reviews online, Forbes Travel Guide is the ultimate trusted source in luxury travel,” Boyen says. “Our objective, data-driven Star Rating list features properties that achieved an impeccable standard of excellence in hospitality. We congratulate everyone associated with the prestigious properties recognized today.”

The Five-Star score is developed from the assessment of the hotel 800 objective standards. These standards are the most stringent in the hospitality industry — with Forbes Travel Guide inspectors having stayed anonymously for two nights and three days at each hotel to evaluate every detail of the visit.

Across the core sections and classification score groups, Crown Towers Melbourne achieved a perfect 100% score for Guest Services, Fitness Facilities, Housekeeping Turndown Service, Public Areas, Cleanliness & Condition and Staff Appearance – demonstrating a high level of performance right across the Crown Towers Melbourne experience.

Crown Towers Melbourne, originally completed in 1997, is an exquisitely designed skyscraper comprising luxurious rooms and villas over 38 floors. The property also houses Crown Spa – a Forbes Four Star premium beauty and wellness sanctuary which is arguably Melbourne’s finest and most exclusive day spa with lavish décor and private pampering suites.

With 481 rooms to service the Crown Towers housekeeping & room service team are kept very busy, each year delivering over 47,477 bottles of Champagne to hotel guests, turning down 166,616 rooms and placing 333,232 pairs of slippers at each bedside – all with Forbes Five-Star standards in mind.

Located on the southern bank of the Yarra River and situated in Melbourne’s central business district, Crown Towers Melbourne is viewed as the most premium of the three hotels in Melbourne’s Crown Entertainment complex, boasting the best culinary experiences and entertainment the city has to offer.
