Clean Cruising reports that Costa Cruises is back on the water in Italy, with Deliziosa now sailing out of Trieste and four additional ships to follow soon. While the cruise line doesn’t have a huge following in Australia, it’s a large and popular cruise line in Europe. MSC has been operating 7-night Italy-only itineraries since back in August all without incident. It’s worth noting that this has sadly yet impressively been against a backdrop of more than1,000 coronavirus cases being recorded each day across the country – clear evidence that cruise holidays can operate safely with the right procedures in place.

Clean Cruising also reports that Singapore has committed to a cruise restart. Recognising the economic importance of this tourism sector, the Singapore Tourism Board has developed a CruiseSafe certification program, together with an independent third-party. All cruise lines will need to obtain the certification prior to sailing out of Singapore.
