Diethelm Travel Group (DTG), an award-winning inbound tour operator servicing Asia, has claimed the title of Asia’s Leading Destination Management Company 2020 in the 27th annual World Travel Awards.

Two of the group’s regional arms have also received recognition with Diethelm Travel Thailand winning the title of Thailand’s Leading Destination Management Company 2020 and Diethelm Travel Cambodia claiming Cambodia’s Leading Destination Management Company 2020 award. The group’s sister company Blue Horizons Travel & Tours also found success winning the Philippines’ Leading Destination Management Company 2020 award.
Voted for by travel and tourism professionals worldwide, the globally recognised awards mark one of the industry’s highest international honours.
First founded in Bangkok in 1957, Diethelm Travel has grown to encompass thousands of exclusive offerings in 13 different countries across Asia – Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam – while establishing itself as the only DMC with its own comprehensive network of locations throughout Southeast Asia serving discerning mid- to high-level clients.
Along with setting high customer service standards, the company continually develops its Journeys of a Lifetime to enrich both agent and traveller experiences with customised service, bespoke itineraries, local connections and a commitment to cultural, communal and environmental sustainability.
“At Diethelm Travel, despite this being such a difficult time, we continue to be active in contacting, informing and supporting our clients. We are always looking to explore and discover more places and activities within each country so that we are ready to serve once the borders are open again,” said Stephan Roemer, CEO of Diethelm Travel Group. “We always ensure that health and safety is our first priority, and winning this award proves that all the hard work pays off. This award recognizes the integrity that we achieve as a team and in turn, makes each person proud of the role they play.”
