From 1st September 2020, The Grand Hotel et de Milan reopened its doors to guests with a special package for those staying in one of the suites dedicated to the hotel’s legendary guests ranging from Verdi to Hemingway, Maria Callas to Vittoria De Sica. The offering will include a personal tour of the special rooms each full of history. During the tour, guests will be regaled with tales of Verdi’s arias being sung from balconies, love letters between poet and painter, romantic dalliances and more.
Opened in 1863, this famous hotel is steeped in history, having hosted so many luminaries throughout the years. Considered to be the best hotel in Milan, The Grand Hotel et de Milan offers elegant rooms furnished with antiques and works of art in an enviable location. It is situated in the heart of the city, close to the financial district, the Scala Opera House, the fashion district and the Duomo.
The hotel’s restyling, keeping with its traditional flair includes the discreet and refined Gerry’s Bar. A rich palette of pinks, greens and golden hues compliment the precious velvets, silks and jacquards between the hall and bar. New life is infused into the hotel’s marble surfaces, works of art and the 19th-century fireplace. Throughout the property, decadent furniture, luxurious fabrics, embroidery and floral patterns flourish, highlighted by the soft and welcoming lighting.
A new ‘Dehors’ the Caruso Fuori restaurant has been introduced serving breakfast, lunch and dinner al fresco in partnership with Tearose Group responsible for the iconic decoration and healthy bio food offerings.
Grand Hotel et de Milan guests will exclusively have the opportunity to book the new spa at sister hotel STRAF for private use.

For this special package only, Grand Hotel et de Milan has partnered with the international hub of gastronomy and culinary arts, Identità Golose Milano. Located a few steps from Teatro alla Scala, the exclusive restaurant opened its doors in September 2018 focussing on quality cuisine with an international approach. This unique restaurant brings together acclaimed chefs from Italy and beyond to master the kitchen, working closely with the Identità Golose team to prepare some of their most sought-after dishes. With past guests including Alain Ducasse and Massimo Bottura, Identità Golose Milano presents an approachable offer, where all diners are able to experiment and taste the dishes of some of these renowned chefs.
Grand Hotel et de Milan has also teamed up with the world renowned La Scala for this unique package. Dating from 1778, La Scala is one of the world’s oldest and most famous opera and ballet theatres, hosting performances from most of Italy’s greatest operatic artists, and many of the finest international singers. This package allows Grand Hotel et de Milan guests to go behind the scenes and learn about the history of the famous theatre, all within a private visit.
