Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the innovator in global cruise travel with a 53-year history of breaking boundaries, recently unveiled a collection of new Europe itineraries for 2021 and 2022, with guests able to choose from seven ships sailing the region. As twelve-time World Travel Award winner of “Europe’s Leading Cruise Line”, NCL is the unparalleled expert when it comes to cruising in Europe.

NCL’s new Mediterranean and Northern Europe voyages offer port-intensive itineraries that uncover some of the region’s most spectacular destinations. From the unforgettable Norwegian Fjords, to the impeccable Amalfi Coast, travellers have the opportunity to experience all that Europe has to offer and more. Many of these itineraries also extend late departure times, meaning that guests have more time to explore their favourite attractions.

“NCL has been voted Europe’s Leading Cruise Line for 12 years for a reason. Guests can step on board one of our award-winning ships, with embarkation from ten convenient cities that are incredible destinations within themselves. They can unpack once and wake up in an undiscovered part of Europe every day. Combine that with spectacular onboard entertainment, luxurious spa services, and no set dining times, and our guests are bound to have the trip of a lifetime,” said Ben Angell, Norwegian Cruise Line Vice President and Managing Director, APAC.

“With seven of our innovative ships being positioned in the region in 2021 and 2022, guests are spoilt for choice when it comes to selecting their itinerary and the best vessel to meet their preferred sailing style,” added Mr Angell.

“Whether you are dreaming of exploring the surreal landscapes of Iceland, the azure waters of the Greek Isles or the awe-inspiring Winter Palace in Saint Petersburg, our immersive Europe itineraries offer something for everyone,” Mr Angell concluded.

NCL’s 2021 and 2022 Mediterranean itineraries will be departing from Athens (Piraeus), Barcelona, Dubai, Rome (Civitavecchia) and Venice, with Northern Europe voyages departing from Amsterdam, Copenhagen, London (Southampton), Reykjavik and Stockholm.

Itinerary highlights for NCL’s 2021 and 2022 Europe sailing season include:

· Norwegian Star will sail an 11-day roundtrip from Reykjavik, Iceland departing 14 July 2022, where she’ll visit scenic ports in Iceland and Greenland. Norwegian Star will be the first ship in the company’s history to sail to Nuuk, Qaqortoq and Nanortalik, Greenland.

· Norwegian Escape and Norwegian Gem will both be sailing the Greek Isles for the first time:

o Norwegian Escape will sail an 11-day Greek Isles roundtrip from Rome on 21 October 2022 visiting iconic Mediterranean ports including Santorini, Athens and Florence.

o Norwegian Gem’s 9-day Greek Isles roundtrip from Venice departing 20 May 2022 will sail bucket-list destinations including Mykonos, Corfu and Dubrovnik.

· Norwegian Dawn will be sailing Northern Europe for the first time. Her 10-day British Isles sailing departing from London on 14 May 2022 allows for immersive exploration of iconic destinations such as Dublin and Edinburgh before disembarking in Amsterdam.

Guests can explore the best of Europe from the comfort of one of seven NCL ships sailing the region; four ships from the mid-sized Dawn (Norwegian Dawn, Norwegian Star) and Jewel (Norwegian Gem, Norwegian Jade) classes, Norwegian Getaway from the innovative Breakaway class, Norwegian Escape from NCL’s groundbreaking Breakaway Plus class, and Norwegian Epic from the action-packed Epic class all sailing the region.

Regardless of which ship they choose, when guests cruise with NCL, it means they have the freedom to curate their experience just the way they want it.

They can indulge their taste buds at one of the varied and flexible dining venues, bask in the bright lights of Broadway with award-winning entertainment, or relax in some of the most spacious and modern staterooms at sea – all before venturing out to experience one of the many shore excursions of their choice.
