Ecoventura continues to pave the way in high-end expedition travel through the enchanted Galapagos Islands, announcing its third 20-passenger luxury mega-yacht, Evolve. Evolve’s 2021 debut will mark the completion of Ecoventura’s fully upgraded fleet, fulfilling the company’s mission to offer discerning guests a travel experience that is as transformative as it is chic, through one of the globe’s most elusive destinations.

Like sister ships Origin and Theory (launched in 2016 and 2019, respectively), Evolve’s name derives from Charles Darwin’s scientific works, with its maiden voyage scheduled for the spring of 2021. Evolve will round out Ecoventura’s extraordinary fleet of luxury expedition yachts, collectively the newest and greenest in the Galapagos.

“Beaming traveler feedback and a growing demand for the highly personalized, upscale experience aboard Origin and Theory, led us to pursue our third luxury vessel sooner than anticipated,” said Ecoventura CEO Santiago Dunn. “With Evolve, we continue to combine luxury and sustainability while providing intimate access to some of the most breathtaking corners of the archipelago.”

Dunn says construction of Evolve began one year sooner than planned, with the vessel’s keel already in the water. It will join the rest of Ecoventura’s Relais & Chateaux fleet in design, style and experience, with 10 premium cabins that foster a sense of connectivity with the destination via panoramic views from all corners, onboard amenities that include a full-time concierge, fitness center, a sundeck with loungers and daybeds, a Jacuzzi, and sustainably sourced cuisine.

Evolve will operate on Ecoventura’s current schedule, rotating between two A & B seven-night itineraries that can be combined into a comprehensive two-week excursion. Guests will continue to benefit from the most favorable naturalist-to-passenger ratio in the region with just 10 guests per guide, for an experience that engages the senses with personal enrichment. Sustainable features will mirror those of Origin and Theory’s, reducing fossil fuel consumption by more than 30%, as well as a prototypical stabilizing system and cutting-edge bow design for smoother and faster sailing up to 14 knots.

Origin and Theory’s rates for 2020 start at US$8,050 per person based on double occupancy, and include all meals, beverages and snacks, Captain’s welcome and farewell social gatherings, an open-bar policy, guided shore excursions, snorkel equipment, stand-up paddle boards and sea kayaks.
