EDAM Group, the UK’s market leading service provider of credit hire and post-accident services, has been named Business of the Year in the ‘Turnover £50m – £100m’ category at the Manchester Evening News Business Awards 2019. The regional award is one of the best respected business accolades in the North West region and comes after a number of recent award wins for EDAM.

The M.E.N. Business Awards assesses the overall performance of a company in its scoring, and EDAM put its commitment the customer at the heart of its successful application for the award. Behind all of EDAM’s activities is a consistent pledge to its service offering. The credit hire company is always investing in its staff with bespoke colleague training initiatives and its financial performance is consistently impressive.

A celebration of excellence and innovation in regional business around the Greater Manchester Area, the M.E.N. Business Awards acknowledge exceptional performance for companies ranging from start-ups to large companies with a turnover in excess of £100m. EDAM qualified to enter the ‘Turnover £50m – £100m’ category, with entries judged by a panel of leading industry experts, utilising years of experience to identify outstanding business innovation.

The finalists and judges gathered at the Principal Hotel Manchester in the city centre for the ceremony in which EDAM fought off esteemed competiton to take the award hosted by national newsreader, Nicholas Owen. A number of the region’s biggest companies were among the brands vying for one of several category titles.

Steve Turner, Chief Executive Officer of EDAM Group, said: “We are absolutely delighted to continue our rich vein of form in the awards sector with this incredible achievement. To win at the Manchester Evening News Business Awards means a lot to us as a Manchester-based company, powered by people from the local area. We rely on our trusted and valued staff to propel our company to the great heights we have reached, and this highest of regional accolades is recognition of their efforts.”

The credit hire company is continuing to implement its 2020 Vision, with a focus on driving partnership value, maximising efficiency and further supporting, retaining and growing the team. EDAM Group’s service driven stance has delivered sustained growth, in addition to consistently scoring highly in its Net Promoter Score with a monthly figure in the mid-80s ranked out of -100 to +100.

The company’s achievement at the M.E.N. Business Awards is the latest in a number of awards and accreditations collected by EDAM Group, which has attracted acclaim in the industry for its service and training. Last month, EDAM collected the silver award in the Customer Experience Training category at the UK Customer Experience Awards 2019, while in February the business was recognised by the Sunday Times in their list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For. Earlier in November, EDAM was awarded Gold in the Business Change or Transformation category at the UK Business Awards 2019.
