In light of the sudden coronavirus outbreak across the world, Elite Havens – Asia’s largest luxury villa rental company is leading the way when it comes to proactively taking precautionary steps both in-villa and with regards to their reservations policy.

“A villa vacation is a great idea in the current scenario. Avoiding the crowds, and staying in your own personal villa, with all precautions taken by the villa staff, ensures that guests can travel stress-free,” said Jon Stonham, CEO of Elite Havens. “The continuously-evolving situation may create uncertainty and cause issues with guest travel and booking plans. We at Elite Havens understand that flexibility is required for travel planning in the current scenario, and thus are announcing a flexible refund and rebooking policy as below, to try and accommodate,” he added.

For all new bookings, should guests’ flights be cancelled or a travel advisory requires them to be quarantined, Elite Havens guarantees a full refund or guests can choose to move their stay within 12 months of their check-in date, in the same villa, for the same number of nights and in the same (or lower) season. Applicable on select villas and chalets.

Not having to share the facilities with other guests, staying in a clean and hygienic environment and being taken care of by trained, professional staff, helps guests avoid crowds while travelling. Elite Havens is offering up to 30% off on select villas in Indonesia and Thailand, and 15% off on select chalets in Japan for new bookings from 19 February 2020 onwards, for stays until 25 June 2020.

In-villa precautions

Further, precautionary measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of guests and employees. Travel history of guests is being checked as part of the reservations process. In addition, the following in-villa measures are being implemented across all destinations: employees and guests to wear masks when required, temperature checking of guests and employees, periodic sanitizing and the use of antibacterial and alcohol-based soaps. Elite Havens wishes to instil a sense of confidence in customers wishing to travel within Asia.
