In response to enormous demand, and hot on the heels of the incredible global success of the Rocketman epic musical fantasy, Elton-mania has reached fever pitch!http://www.stevecafeandcuisine.com/ It can today be announced that Sir Elton John has extended the Australian leg of his sold-out Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour and added concerts at Geelong’s Mt Duneed Estate, AAMI Park in Melbourne, plus four regional stadium “firsts” in: Coffs Harbour, Townsville, Sunshine Coast and Sydney.

The six new outdoor shows, which go on-sale Tuesday 25th June, take Australia’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road concert tally to 32 (38 including New Zealand’s six performances)—and now carry the mammoth tour through five months, beginning Perth on 30th November 2019 and wrapping up in March 2020.

Elton will enthral audiences at Melbourne’s AAMI Park on Saturday 22nd February; it will be the 5th and largest Melbourne show on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, and 50th performance in the city since his 1971 debut at Kooyong Stadium.

He will deliver the first music performance ever to be staged at Coffs Harbour’s C.ex Coffs International Stadium on Wednesday 26th February, and becomes the first international recording artist to play at Sunshine Coast Stadium on Tuesday 3rd March.

In an incredible coup, Sir Elton has been secured to open Townsville’s brand new North Queensland Stadium on Saturday 29th February, which will be the first-ever event to take place at the venue. Following media speculation last month, the Queensland Government, Townsville City Council, Stadiums Queensland and TEL worked with promoter Chugg Entertainment to lock in the legendary artist’s return to the city in February 2020, thirteen years after his 2007 visit, which saw Elton play to a record-breaking 22,000-strong audience.

His final stop on the Australia-New Zealand leg of the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour will land at the newly rebuilt Bankwest Stadium in Parramatta on Saturday 7thMarch, becoming the very first music performance to take place at the Western Sydney venue.

AdditionallyGeelong’s Mt Duneed Estate will host the showman for A Day On The Green on Saturday 7th December, bringing his tally of Victorian shows on the Farewell Tour to eleven.

Tickets to the Melbourne, Coffs Harbour and A Day On The Green shows will go on sale at 9am (local), Tuesday 25th June.

Tickets for the Townsville, Sunshine Coast and Sydney shows will go on sale at 12 noon (local), Tuesday 25th June.

Since going on sale in February this year, Australia and New Zealand have snapped up tickets to Elton’s Farewell tour, with total sales approaching half a million tickets over the 32 shows announced to date.

“We’re thrilled to be adding even more dates to Elton’s final tour”, said promoter Michael Chugg. “Demand has been absolutely incredible, we know the Rocketman is going to create magic memories for Australia and New Zealand when he arrives later this year!”
